Jakob Karweyse

Jacob or Jakob Karweyse (also Karweysse; work around 1492 ) was a goldsmith in Marienburg; he is regarded as the first Prussian printer.

Karweyse, who probably belonged to a local family, in 1476 the citizens of the city of Marienburg. 1492 he printed there the book of John Marie Werder, Lives of the zeligen vrouwen Dorothea, which dealt with the life of Dorothea Montau.
