Jakov Gojun

Jakov Gojun ( born April 18, 1986 in Split) is a Croatian handball player and member of the Croatian national handball team. He plays on the left back position. He currently plays for Paris Saint- Germain HB.

Career

His first stop was the RK Split, where he had no chance to prove himself or to be used, so he moved on Krilnika and Solin with 18 years for Rijeker Club Zamet. There he confirmed his class as a young handball players. Through his good games in Zamet, the RK Sisica became aware of him. There again was Slavko Goluža, co- coach of the Croatian national team and helpers of Lino Červar, so he was appointed to the Croatian national team. At the European Championships in 2010 Gojun won the silver medal with Croatia. In addition, he was voted the best defender. In summer 2012, he participated in the Olympic Games in London, where he won the bronze medal. Then he ran for the Spanish club Atlético Madrid. After Madrid fell into financial difficulties in the summer of 2013, he joined the French first division side Paris Saint- Germain HB.
