Career

Early years (1996 to 2004)

Janda, who is a qualified PE teacher, announced on March 9, 1996 his debut in the World Cup Ski Jumping. When ski flying in Harrachov he remained with rank 44 still far behind the points. But two jumping in Lahti later he won with 29 rank first World Cup points. For the 1997/98 season he was able to increase its performance and reached in January in Innsbruck for the first time a place among the top twenty. In the summer of 2011, he could jump in his career consistently in all ski jumping Grand Prix competitions in the points for the first time. After a mixed season 2003/ 04, which he finished in 39th place overall, he reached at the Ski Flying World Championships 2004 in Planica number 35 in singles and ninth place with the team.

International breakthrough 2004/ 05

Drop in performance and reboot

Renewed performance hit in 2010

The World Cup season 2010/11 started Janda with the 10th place in the team jumping from Kuusamo. Also in the following Single Cup Janda started again successfully and won World Cup points. After a surprising third place in qualifying in Engelberg, he had to admit defeat here but for the first time again after the first passage.
