Jalaa language

Jalaa (also Centúúm or Cen Tuum ) is an endangered language, which is spoken in north- eastern Nigeria. It is of unknown origin. They may be descended from the Niger - Congo languages ​​. The ethnic group that is able to speak Jalaa is that of Jalaben. Most of the members of this people now speak the Bwilim dialect of Cham in everyday life. Jalaa is only spoken by older people, but the Cham can speak much more fluid than Jalaa.
