Jalhay ( Walloon Djalhé, German ( outdated ) Galbach ), is a French-speaking community in the eastern Wallonia. It is located in the Arrondissement Verviers in the province of Liège. Besides Jalhay the community area includes the towns Charneux, Herbiester, Nivezé, Sart, Solwaster and Tiege.

Location

Jalhay located at the foothills of the Eifel and the Ardennes, on the edge of the Hertogenwald. About half of the municipal area is part of the High Fens -Eifel and is on average at an altitude of around 400 meters above sea level.
