Jalisse

Jalisse is an Italian pop duo that repeatedly took part at the Sanremo Festival in 1995 and won it in 1997 and therefore Italy at the Euro Vision Song Contest took.

History of the duo

The first time Alessandra Drusian and Fabio Ricci met in 1990 at a record company in Rome. Drusian singer had won competitions and was invited to an event, Ricci had just released his first single with the group Vox Populi and introduced himself as a solo singer-songwriter before.

1992, for a television show, they met each other again and decided to musically common ways to try.

As Jalisse, launched in 1994, they were invited to the 1995 Sanremo Festival. With the title Vivo ( "I live " ) they achieved positive reviews - and were again called to the Festival of Sanremo the following year. Liberarmi ( " Release me " ) managed a moderate success, resulting in a further invitation to the festival result. The festival attendance in 1997 should inspire the career of Jalisse: with the self- written song Rivers di parole ( "Just talk " ) have been winners against known musicians like Patty Pravo, Loredana Berté, Nek, Albano Carrisi, Anna Oxa and Toto Cutugno.
