Jamaica Beach is a city in Galveston County in the U.S. state of Texas in the United States.

Geography

The city is located on Galveston Iceland in southeastern Texas on the Gulf of Mexico and has a total area of 2.0 km ², of which 0.1 km ² water surface.

Demographic data

According to the census of 2000, there were 1,075 people in 483 households and 303 families. The population density was 576.5 inhabitants per km ². The racial the population was composed of 95.07 % White, 0.37 % African American, 0.37 % Native American, 0.56 % Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander residents from the and 1.95 % from other ethnic groups.
