History
According to records of the association football was introduced in the late 19th century in Jamaica and the first club was founded in 1893. The All Star Team players were represented as Michael Kruin from Suriname and most famous player on the part of Jamaica were Lindy Delapenha and Gillie Heron. The games ended from the perspective of Jamaica as follows: 1:5, 2:1, 0:1 & 1:0. During this time, many clubs were founded, which produced many talents of Jamaican football.
In 1965, Jamaica for the first time participated in a World Cup qualifier. The greatest international success was achieved by the Jamaican National team qualifying for the World Cup 1998., Where would retire after the preliminary round with a victory against Japan.
