James Acheson ( born 1946 in Leicester ) is a British costume designer.
James Acheson is one of the most respected costume designers in the film industry. For his work he has been awarded three times with an Oscar: The Last Emperor by Bernardo Bertolucci (1988 ), Dangerous Liaisons by Stephen Frears (1989 ) and time of sensuality by Michael Hoffman (1996). For these films, he was also nominated in each case with the BAFTA Award, and excellent. He created his first work for the Monty Python films in the early 1980s. He also created the costumes for the series of Spider-Man movies from 2002.
