James Bettauer

James Bettauers ( born March 19, 1991, Mississauga, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player with a German passport, which currently stands at the Hamburg Freezers under contract.

Personal

Bettauers moved at the age of five years from Mississauga to Port Moody, British Columbia, a suburb of Vancouver, where he spent his childhood and youth. His younger sister to twelve years also plays ice hockey and ringette also. His father owns two pet shops, he is originally from Berlin, which is why his son has German citizenship.

Career

James Bettauers began his career as a hockey player at the age of 16 years at the Penticton Vees, for which he was active in the Canadian Junior Football League British Columbia Hockey League in the 2007/ 08 season. With his team he won, among others, along with the future NHL Zac Dalpe professional right away the champion of the BCHL. After this success took him the Chilliwack Bruins in the WHL under contract.
