James Blaylock

James Paul Blaylock ( born September 20, 1950 in Long Beach, California) is an American SF and fantasy author. Together with Tim Powers, he also writes under the pseudonym William Ashbless.

Life

Blaylock studied English at California State University, Fullerton. There he learned KW Jeter and Tim Powers know and tied together with them in contact with the SF writer Philip K. Dick. There was a lively collaboration with Powers, with whom he wrote several stories together. Today Blaylock lives in Orange County, California, where he is director of the Creative Writing Conservatory at the Orange County High School of the Arts, where Tim Powers works.
