James Bowen (author)

James Bowen ( born March 15, 1979 in Surrey ) is a British writer and musician.

Career

Bowen was living as a street musician in London, where he performed with his cat Bob. In September 2010, the Islington Tribune first reported the two. The literary agent Mary Pachnos became aware of Bowen through the newspaper report. She took him under contract and together with Garry Jenkins was the book A Street Cat Named Bob, in the Bowen writes about his friendship with his cat Bob.

It has been translated into 26 languages ​​and occupied for a year the top of the bestseller list of The Sunday Times. In German language, it appeared in 2012 in the Weltbild Publishing Group in Bastion Luebbe Verlag under the title: Bob the stray, the cat that changed my life. In the paperback edition of 2013, it reached # 1 on the Spiegel bestseller list in June.
