James Coco

James Coco ( born March 21, 1930 in New York City, New York, † February 25, 1987 ) was an American theater and film actor.

Life and career

1970 was the son of a shoemaker a Tony nomination for Best Actor for his role in Neil Simon's play Last of the red hot lovers. For a guest role in the television series St. Elsewhere Coco in 1983 was awarded an Emmy Award. In the cinema Coco was seen especially in humorous roles, including as Sancho Panza in the musical Man of La Mancha ( 1972), as Hercule Poirot copy in Murder by Death (1976) and in The Muppets Take Manhattan ( 1984).

For his participation in the comedy Mrs. Hines & daughter of Neil Simon Coco was nominated in 1982 as Best Supporting Actor for an Oscar and a Golden Globe, but the awards went respectively to Sir John Gielgud Arthur - No child of sadness. He was also nominated for the Golden Raspberry negative price, the 1982 Steve Forrest received for Mommie Dearest.

Coco died 56 years old of a heart attack.
