James Donn

James Donn (* 1758, † June 14, 1813 in Monivaird, Perthshire ) was an English botanist. Its official botanical author abbreviation is " Thu ".

Thu first worked under William Aiton in the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. From 1790 until his death in 1813 he was curator of the Botanical Garden in Cambridge. In 1796 he was the first time a list of the plants in this garden out, which has been updated in the following decades and over again: Hortus cantabrigiensis, or, A catalog of plants, indigenous and foreign, cultivated in the Walkerian Botanic Garden, Cambridge,, 1796.
