James Duncan Davidson

James Duncan Davidson ( born July 29, 1970 in Lubbock, Texas ) is a software developer who has developed the web server and the Tomcat is written in Java tool Ant.

Davidson grew up in Oklahoma and Texas. He was employed from 1997 to 2001 at Sun Microsystems. During this period he also wrote the above programs. He is currently working as a freelance software consultant and photographer. Resident he is in Portland, Oregon.

Davidson shifted in recent years (2005-2006) his main interest in the field of programming towards Ruby on Rails. Together with the well-known Rails guru Mike Clark Davidson has developed some of the most complex and most robust early Rails applications.
