James E. Pringle

James Edward Pringle ( born January 20, 1949) is a British astrophysicist.

Pringle is professor of theoretical astronomy at the Institute of Astronomy of the University of Cambridge. His research focuses on fluid dynamics in accretion disks.

In 2009 he was awarded for his work with the Eddington Medal.
