James Kottak

James Kottak ( born December 26, 1962 in Louisville, Kentucky ) is an American musician and drummer of the rock band since 1996 Scorpions. Prior to joining the Scorpions, he played among others, Kingdom Come, MSG, Warrant, Wild Horses and Axxis drums, as well as some tribute CDs for bands such as Led Zeppelin, inter alia, James Kottak also has his own band, which under the band name Krunk 1999 released their first album. In this volume his former wife Athena Kottak Drum (up to 2010), James Kottak played himself took under the name Jimmy Ratchitt guitar, and vocals. With the 2006 released second album Therupy the band eventually changed its name to Kottak. In May 2010 the Kottak album Rock'n Roll Forever appeared. With the publication of the fourth album " Attack" James Kottak is the only remaining original member of the band named after him. In the fall of 2011, he toured as support of the friends of his power metal band Edguy through Europe. James Kottak plays repeatedly at concerts with musicians from the environment of the Scorpions, as Michael Schenker and Uli Jon Roth. Kottak was married to Athena Lee, sister of Tommy Lee and the couple have three children (* 1991, * 1993 and * 1997).
