James Naughton

James Naughton ( born December 6, 1945 in Middletown, Connecticut ) is an American actor.

Life and achievements

Naughton graduated in 1967 with a Bachelor the study of cultural studies at Brown University from. In 1970 he graduated as a Master of Arts from Yale University. He debuted on the side of Timothy Bottoms in the television drama Look Homeward, Angel from 1972. In the television series Planet of the Apes (1974 ), he played one of the major roles.

In the comedy The First Wives Club (1996 ) Naughton played alongside Goldie Hawn, Diane Keaton and Bette Midler. For this role she won in 1996 as a member of the actor ensemble the National Board of Review Award. In the thriller Oxygen he played the role of Clark Hannon, the husband of Harry Houdini ( Adrien Brody ) kidnapped Frances Hannon ( Laila Robins ). For roles in the musicals City of Angels and Chicago he won in 1990 and 1997 respectively a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical. He also directed the television film produced in 2003, the play Our Town Our Town with Paul Newman in one of the roles.

The children of James Naughton, Greg Naughton ( b. 1968 ) and Keira Naughton (born 1971 ), is also an actor.
