James Paul Johnson

James Paul Johnson ( born June 2, 1930 in Yankton, South Dakota ) is a former American politician. Between 1973 and 1981 he represented the fourth electoral district of the state of Colorado in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

James Johnson attended until 1952, the Northwestern University in Evanston (Illinois ). From 1952 to 1956 he was a jet pilot in the United States Marine Corps. He was employed in Korea. After studying law at the University of Colorado at Boulder and its made ​​in 1959 admitted to the bar he began to work in his new profession. From 1959 to 1966 he was deputy prosecutor in the eighth Judicial District of Colorado; to 1965 he was a municipal judge in the town of Ault. From 1969 to 1971 he was a member of a school board in Fort Collins. Politically, Johnson joined the Republican Party. Between 1960 and 1972 he was a delegate to their respective regional party conferences in Colorado.

1972 Johnson was selected in the fourth district of Colorado in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington. There he redeemed on January 3, 1973 from the Wayne N. Aspinall Democrats.
