James Paul Moody

James Paul Moody ( born August 21, 1887 in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England, † April 15, 1912 in the North Atlantic during the sinking of the Titanic ) was the sixth officer on the Titanic.

Life

James P. Moody was born as a child of John Henry and Evelyn Louise Moody. His family was one of the most influential in Scarborough, so Moody's grandfather city official and his father worked as a member of the city council. In the Church of St. Augustine in Grimsby, an altar, which also has an inscription with Moody's name exists.

Few is also a grave stone known in the Woodland Cemetery in Scarborough, which was built by the family of Moody's, and its inscription reflects the role of the 24 -year-olds in the evacuation of the Titanic:
