James Purnell

James Mark Dakin Purnell ( born March 2, 1970 in London ) is a British Labour Party politician. He was from 2008 to 2009 Minister for Work and Pensions in the government of Gordon Brown.

Since 2001 he is a member of the British House of Commons for the electoral district of Stalybridge and Hyde.
