James Steen (water polo)

James J. Steen (* November 19, 1876, † June 25, 1949 in New York) was an American water polo player.

At the Olympic Games in 1904 Steen met with his teammates from the New York Athletic Club George van Cleaf, Leo Goodwin, Louis Handley, David Hesser, Joseph Ruddy and David Bratton water polo tournament, with whom he reached the gold medal. In the final, the team from the Chicago Athletic Association club was defeated 6-0.
