James Yuill

James Yuill (* 1981 in London ) is a British folktronica singer.

Life

The end of 2005, he published " The Vanilla Disc" his debut album. However, the success was only moderate, and so he moved in early 2007 to the London record label Moshi Moshi. The wider public he was known only by his second studio album "Turning Down Water for Air", which was available in Germany in early 2009. On these, pop songs like "This Sweet Love" and " No Surprise " are to retain their songs like " Somehow ". Previously, he toured in 2008 on larger festivals such as " SXSW " in Texas, Latitude and performed in small clubs and bars. In 2010 he occurs in countries such as Japan, France or Austria.

The music magazine Clash Yuill described as "a one- man band armed with a laptop, mixing decks and on acoustic guitar " ( a one-man - band equipped with laptop, mixer and an acoustic guitar ). The Englishman also works as a remixer (including under the pseudonym " Hunger / Thirst " ) and provided remixes for bands such as The Brute Chorus, Tilly & the Wall, The Answering Machine and Au Revoir Simone.
