Jamie Arniel

James Gregory " Jamie " Arniel ( born November 16, 1989 in Kingston, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is under contract with EC Dornbirn in the Erste Bank Hockey League since the end of November 2013. His uncle Scott Arniel was also a professional hockey player whose son just three weeks younger Brendan came Arniel does not go beyond appearances in the MJHL, USHL, BCHL and OJHL.

Career

Jamie Arniel started his career as a hockey player in his hometown at the Kingston Voyageurs, where he was active in the 2004/05 season in the Ontario Junior Hockey League. From 2005 to 2009 played the Centre in the Canadian top junior league Ontario Hockey League for the Guelph Storm and Sarnia Sting. During this period, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2008 in the fourth round as a total of 97 players from the Boston Bruins. For their farm team Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League, he gave towards the end of the 2008/09 season his debut in professional hockey when he scored a goal in eight games in the AHL playoffs. In the following three years he was a regular for the Providence Bruins in the AHL, while he was only a single application for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League.

In the season 2012/13 season played Arniel for the polar bears Berlin in the German Ice Hockey League and was with these German masters at the end of the season. After a try-out at Rauman Lukko in Finland, where he was hired in late August and September 18, 2013 after three league inserts again left the team, he transferred to Austria. When EC Dornbirn in the Erste Bank Hockey League, he signed with the end of November 2013 a treaty had to leave the club in order to make room for Arniel since August 2013 working for the Bulldogs Brendan Brooks.

Internationally

For Canada Arniel took part in the U18 World Youth Championship in 2007.
