Jamie Cullum

Jamie Cullum ( born August 20, 1979 in Essex ) is an English singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.

Life

The reference to the music found Cullum very early. His Israeli father (whose mother - a native of East Prussia - against the persecution of the Jews of National Socialism fled to Palestine ) and his mother from Burma played in the band "The Impacts ". There Cullum collected already as an infant first experiences at the piano, and later he had guitar and singing lessons. As a teenager, Cullum has played numerous gigs in bars and clubs. In July 2003 he won the category "Rising Star" at the British Jazz Awards.
