Jamie Lundmark

Jamie Lundmark ( born January 16, 1981 in Edmonton, Alberta ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since May 2012 for EC KAC in the Austrian Hockey League contract. His brother Jason is also a professional hockey player.

Career

Jamie Lundmark began his career as a hockey player in the Western Hockey League in which he was active from 1998 to 2001 for the Moose Jaw Warriors and the Seattle Thunderbirds. During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1999 in the first round as a whole ninth player from the New York Rangers. In the 2001 /02 season Lundmark first played for New York's farm team, the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League. In his second season in the franchise, gave the Canadians in the 2002/03 season his debut in the National Hockey League for the New York Rangers. During the lockout the NHL season 2004/05 attackers stood both for the Hartford Wolf Pack, as well as for the HC Bolzano in the Italian Serie A1 on the ice.

Following the resumption of gaming operations in the NHL Lundmark returned to the Rangers, but for which he only completed three games before he was transferred to the Phoenix Coyotes. This in turn gave it off just before the end of the Trade Deadline on the Calgary Flames. In Calgary Lundmark also remained only a year before he finished the 2006/07 season with the Los Angeles Kings. He then joined the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL on, for which he also ran aground in the 2007/ 08 season, as for the HK Dynamo Moscow of the Russian Super League. In summer 2008, Lundmark received as a free agent contract with the Calgary Flames.

There he came regularly used, however, found himself in the farm team, the Quad City Flames and Abbotsford Heat, again. In February 2010, he has been advised of the flames on the Waiverliste and selected prior to the deadline of the Toronto Maple Leafs. After the season, his contract was not renewed and Lundmark chose a contract with the Nashville Predators to sign. After playing until January 2011 at the farm team for the Milwaukee Admirals in the AHL, he moved to Timrå IK in the Elitserien, where he graduated from 18 games.

In August 2011, Lundmark was taken from Dinamo Riga of the Kontinental Hockey League contract. After the end of the following season Lundmark has been committed by the EC KAC in the Austrian Hockey League in May 2012.

Internationally

For Canada Lundmark took part in the Junior World Championships in 2000 and 2001, where he and his team won the bronze medal each.
