Jamie Macoun

Neil James " Jamie " Macoun ( born August 17, 1961 in Hamilton, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who in his playing days from 1978 to 1999 among others for the Calgary Flames, Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings in the National Hockey League has played.

Career

Jamie Macoun began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Junior Hockey League, where he was active for the Newmarket Flyers and Aurora Tigers 1978-1980. He then attended two and a half years, the Ohio State University and played for the team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association, before he signed a contract as a free agent with the Calgary Flames on January 30, 1983.
