Jamie McBain
Jamie McBain ( born February 25, 1988 in Edina, Minnesota ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is since June 2013 when the Buffalo Sabres in the National Hockey League contract.

Career
Jamie McBain began his career as a hockey player in the U.S. National Team Development Program, for which he was active from 2004 to 2006 the Junior League North American Hockey League. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2006 in the second round than a total of 63 players from the Carolina Hurricanes. First, however, the defender spent three years at the University of Wisconsin, for their hockey team he played in parallel in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. During his studies he was elected to the All- Rookie Team of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association in 2007 and 2009 to their best players and in their first All-Star team. In 2009 he was also elected to the first All-American team in the Western Conference of the NCAA.
Towards the end of the 2008/09 season was the former youth international made his debut in professional hockey when he was in ten games for Carolina Farm Team Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League scored a goal and an assist each. In the 2009/10 season, the Americans played again mainly for the Albany River Rats in the AHL, but was parallel to his first 14 appearances for the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League, scoring ten points scorer, three gates. In the season 2010/11 he spent the first time an entire season in the NHL and scored for the Hurricanes in 76 games 30 scorer points, including seven goals.
End of June 2013 he was transferred together with a second-round vote in the NHL Entry Draft in 2013 in exchange for Andrej Sekera to the Buffalo Sabres.
Internationally
For the U.S., McBain participated in the U18 Junior World Cup in 2006 and the U20 World Junior Championships in 2007 and 2008 in part. Especially at the U18 World Cup in 2006, when he became world champion with his team, he was able to convince. During the tournament he was the best assist provider and was elected to the All-Star Team of the World Cup and becoming its best defenders. In the 2007 U20 World Championships he won the bronze medal with his team.
At the World Championships 2013 in Stockholm and Helsinki McBain was the first time the men's national team and won the bronze medal with this.
