Jämsänkoski rapids

The Jämsänjoki is a river in the Finnish countryside of central Finland.

It forms the outlet of the lake Kankarisvesi. At its 15 km long flow path in a southerly direction, it passes the towns Jämsänkoski and Jämsä before flowing from the northwest in the coming Päijänne. The catchment area of ​​1448.3 km ² comprises Jämsänjoki. In this there are a number of lakes as Ylä- Kintaus, Ala- Kintaus, Jämsänvesi, Petäjävesi and iso Rautavesi.
