Jan-Armin Eichhorn

Jan- Armin Eichhorn (born 8 May 1981 in Sonneberg ) is a former German luger.

Career

Eichhorn rodelte in single seater and is a member of BSR Rennsteig Oberhof. He's in the A-team in the Bobsleigh and Luge Federation for Germany. Eichhorn 's Sports soldier of the Bundeswehr. In March 2006 he started at the Ansbach University of the bachelor program International Management, a course of study that has been adapted to the FH Ansbach and designed for top athletes. His sister Julia Eichhorn 's Skeleton pilot.

In 2004 he was first at the German Championship and fourth at the European Championships. In 2005, he reached the 4th place at the Luge World Cup. When Luge World Cup 2005/2006 he was ranked 8th overall. At the Olympics 2006 he reached the 6th place. His greatest achievement was winning the bronze medal at the Luge World Cup in 2007. During the Luge World Cup in Oberhof 2008, he reached the fourth place. In 2010 he won the title of German Champion for 2011. According to the German championship in 2012, where he finished second, Eichhorn ended his sports career in January 2012. He intends to visit the Coach Academy in Cologne, where he will undergo training as a graduate coach for luge.
