Ján Arpáš

Ján Arpáš ( born November 7, 1917 in Bratislava, † 16 April 1976) was a Slovak football player.

Career

In the club

Ján Arpáš came 1939 ŠK Bratislava. For the club, he completed seven seasons in 166 league matches and scored 151 goals. With the striker Bratislava Slovakian champion four times and three times top scorer of the first Slovakian league was.

For the season 1947/48 Arpáš moved to Italy's Serie A to Juventus, where the Czech Čestmír Vycpálek was coach. After just one season in Turin and third in Italy's top flight of the Slovak ended his active career in 1948.

In the National Team

Arpáš played twelve times in the Slovak National team and scored four goals. His first goal he scored on 27 August 1939 in a 2-0 win against Germany.
