Jan Bos

Jan Bos ( born March 29, 1975 in Hierden ) is a Dutch speed skater and cyclist.

In 1998 Speed ​​Skating World Champion Bos was January in Berlin in the sprint and won at the Olympic Games in Nagano in the same year the silver medal in the 1000 meters. Four years later he won silver again over the same distance. Overall, he launched since 1998, four times at the Olympic Winter Games. January Bos is the brother of Radfahres Theo Bos. 2004, the brothers launched together with Teun Mulder at the Summer Olympic Games in Athens in the team sprint and were ranked number six. In March 2011, Bos ended his career as a speed skater and declared that he would qualify as a cyclist for the Olympic Games in London, this plan was, however, a little later on. In September 2013 he made in a Human Powered Vehicle, which had the Human Power Team Delft & Amsterdam developed in the U.S. Battle Mountain a world record attempt, but could not improve the existing record of 133 kilometers per hour, with 126.5 kilometers.

Since January 2013 Bos works as a coach at the Skating Academy Inzell.
