Jan Černý

Jan Černý set out, ( born March 4, 1874 in Uherský Ostroh, † April 10, 1959 ibid ) was a Czechoslovak politician.

Life

After studying law at the Charles University in Prague Černý worked until 1918 at various functions as a civil servant in the then Austria - Hungary. Later he worked in various management functions of the provincial administration. From 1920 to 1928 Černý President of the Moravian provincial administration, and 1928-1939 President of the Moravian- Silesian province. In this context, Černý was from 15 September 1920 to the September 26, 1921 Prime Minister of Czechoslovakia as head of a caretaker government. He then took over at the following government Benes, the function of the interior minister. From March 18 1926 to October 12, 1926 Černý again formed a caretaker government to then, in turn, to assume the office of the Minister of the Interior until 1929. He held this post for a short time in 1938 again. During his reign activity in Prague, he was represented in each of its provincial offices. After the invasion of the German troops in 1939, he was forced to retire.
