Jan de Bont

Jan de Bont ( born October 22, 1943 in Eindhoven, North Brabant ) is a Dutch cinematographer, film director and film producer.

Life

Jan de Bont was born into a large family with 14 children and grew up in Eindhoven. Even as a 12 - year-old boy he turned Super8 films and took orders for wedding events.

Later he studied at the Film Academy in Amsterdam. There he met Paul Verhoeven, with whom he collaborated often.
