Jan de Nijs

Jan de Nijs ( born January 25, 1958 in Amsterdam ) is a former Dutch cyclist and World Champion.

Six times was Jan de Nijs Dutch champion in cycling, five times national champion stayer race and once in the team time trial ( with Peter Pieters, Theo Smit, Co Moritz, Ron Snijders and Marco van der Hulst ). In the UCI Track World Championships 1984 in Barcelona was de Nijs World Champion Amateur Stayers, behind pacemaker Bruno Walrave.
