Jan de Vries (athlete)

January Cornelius de Vries ( born March 2, 1896 in Zwolle, † April 19, 1939 in The Hague) was a Dutch sprinter.

In 1920, he retired at the Olympic Games in Antwerp from about 100 m and the 4 x 100 - meter relay in the flow.

At the Olympic Games in Paris in 1924, he won the Dutch team bronze in the 4 x 100 - meter relay. About 200 meters he failed in the first round.

In 1920, he was with his personal best time of 10.8 s national champion 100 m.
