Jan Eriksson (ice hockey)

January Holger Eriksson ( born January 14, 1958 in Kramfors ) is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey player.

Career

January Eriksson began his career as a hockey player with MoDo AIK, for the first team, he was from 1976 to 1982 in the Elitserien, the highest Swedish league, active. With modo, he won the national title in the 1978/79 season. For the 1982/83 season the defender moved within the Elitserien for AIK Solna reigning champions. He remained there during the championship season in 1983/84 without a single use. With AIK he rose in the 1985/86 season from the second class Division 1, from which he direct resurgence reached with his team in the following season in the Elitserien. Finally, the Swede ran from 1988 to 1990 for the Elitserien participants Västerås IK, before he ended his career at the age of 32 years.

Internationally

For Sweden, Eriksson took part in the U20 Junior World Cup 1978 and the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid. In U20 World Cup, he won the silver, the bronze medal at the Winter Games with his team.
