January Karaś ( born March 17, 1959 in Krakow, Poland ) is a former Polish footballer and football coach.

Club career as a player

January Karaś began his career as a midfielder in Poland, where he played first for Hutnik Kraków. In 1983 he joined the Polish Legia Warszawa giants. Here he matured into a national player, bringing with Legia 1989 Polish Cup. In 1989 he moved to Greece to AE Larisa. Here he played until 1991 before he moved to Vaasa PS to Finland. In 1992 he returned to Poland and even played two seasons for Polonia Warszawa. Then he played for Bug Wyszków and Dolcan Ząbki before he ended his career in 1997.

National team career as a player

Karaś played 16 A- international matches for the Polish national football team and participated in the 1986 World Cup, where he was employed in all three games ..

Career as a coach

Since October 2008, January Karaś coached the club Mazur Karczew in the fourth Polish league.
