Jan Klusák

Jan Klusák ( born April 18, 1934 in Prague) is a Czech composer, actor and writer.

Life

Klusák studied at the Academy of Performing Arts in Jaroslav Řídký and Pavel Bořkovec and lived since then as a freelance composer, actor and writer. After 1989, he also held various public functions in Czech musical life, including as President of the Music Department of the Art Society, Vice- President of the Czech Music Council and committee member of the Prague Spring Music Festival.

To his extensive work includes symphonies, concertos, film scores and other orchestral works, chamber music, opera, theater music, ballets, choral works and songs.
