Jan Kregel

January Kregel Allen ( born April 19, 1944 in Dallas, Texas ) is an economist who has worked as a professor at the Levy Economics Institute of Bard College (USA ) and director of the monetary and financial structure of the program. He is also a research professor at the University of Missouri- Kansas City and Tallinn University of Technology.

In 2009 he was one of the rapporteurs for the Chairman of the UN General Assembly to reform the international financial system. Previously Kregel worked among other things as Professor of Political Economy at the University of Bologna and as an economist until 2007 at the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations and to 2004 for the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.
