Jan Lenica

January Lenica ( born January 4, 1928 in Poznań † 5 October 2001 in Berlin) was a Polish graphic artist and stamp artist, internationally known for his poster art.

January Lenica studied architecture at the Technical University of Warsaw. After his studies, but he was a graphic artist and one of the most famous poster graphic Poland. Walerian Borowczyk Together with he worked on the early animation films. In 1963 he went to France and lived there until 1986. In 1964, his works at the documenta III in Kassel in the Department graphics were shown. From 1979 to 1985 he was professor of animation at the Kassel Art Academy. He was the first professor, established in 1979 the center of gravity. In 1986 he went to Berlin and was until 1994 a professor at the Berlin University of the Arts. He used the technique of cut- out animation in his numerous films, among which there are two plants in feature-length films: Adam 2 (1968) and Ubu et la grande gidouille (1976, but first appeared in France in 1979 ).
