Jan Lubrański

January Lubrański (* 1456, † May 22, 1520 ) was a Polish bishop, politician and diplomat. He had a Godziemba crest.

From 1497 to 1498 he was Bishop of Płock and since 1498 Bishop of Poznan. He founded many churches in his diocese and was the initiator of the reconstruction of the Poznań Cathedral. As a bishop, he was automatically parliamentarians and worked closely with the Polish kings together. He was also frequently used as a diplomat.

In 1519, he founded the eponymous Lubrański Academy in Poznan.
