Jan O'Sullivan

January O'Sullivan (birth name: Jan Gale ) ( born December 6, 1950 in Clonlara, County Clare ) is an Irish politician of the Irish Labour Party.

Life

January O'Sullivan worked after his studies at Trinity College ( Dublin ) and at University College Cork National University of Ireland as a teacher at a preschool, and most recently at a secondary school. Her political career began initially in local politics and was elected a member of the city council of Limerick (Limerick City Council ) in 1991 in the local elections for the Irish Labour Party in the constituency Limerick No. 2.

After an unsuccessful bid in 1992 for a seat in the lower house ( Dáil Éireann ), she was elected in 1993 as a member of the Senate ( Seanad Éireann ), and was there until 1997, the interest group of the workers. At the same time it was between 1993 and 1994 Mayor of Limerick.
