Jan Pietrzak

January Pietrzak ( born April 26, 1937 in Warsaw) is a Polish cabaret.

Together with Adam Kreczmar and Jonasz Kofta he founded in the early 1960s, the student cabaret Hybrydy in Warsaw, which operated until 1967 and then 1968 went into the cabaret Pod EGIDA. Pod EGIDA was one of the most popular political cabarets in communist Poland. Made famous in 1980 the hymn of Solidarity with the title zeby Polska BYLA Polska ( Poland This Poland ). After the political changes of 1989, the cabaret became less important. , But Jan Pietrzak remains to this day a popular comedian, who now turn the capitalist Poland commented. In 1995 he went to in the Polish presidential election and received 1.12 % of votes.
