Jan Pytlick

January Pytlick ( born June 5, 1967 in Thurø ) is a native of Denmark Handball coach. He coached the Danish women's handball team from 1998 to 2006 and again from 2007.

The bricklayer played in his youth with the Danish club GOG even handball, but this had to be at the age of 19 years to retire due to a shoulder injury and was handball coach. He coached the clubs Team Esbjerg and GOG before he was hired as the successor to coach Ulrik Wilbek in 1998 by the Danish Handball Federation.

His successes as a coach of the national count of second place at the European Championship in 1998, two Olympic medals (Olympics 2000 and Olympic Games 2004), which won the European Championship in 2002, second place at the European Championships in 2004 and third place in the World Cup 2013.

After the World Cup in 2005, when the team finished 4th Jan Pytlick accepted an offer from the club GOG. In March 2007 Pytlick gave as coach of GOG and again took over the post of national coach, succeeding the retiring Brian Lyngholm.
