Jan van Munster

Jan van Munster ( born 1939 in Gorinchem ) is a Dutch artist.

The main theme of his work is the energy of any kind, either radioactivity or the power of the sun. Tensions and conflicts, such as between heat and cold, he illustrated many times in clear geometric shapes.

Van Munster's works are often to be seen in Germany in public space.

In Ludwigshafen, for example, he equipped the Sparkasse Vorderpfalz with light installations; on the Heilbronner Wartberg tower be sunbeam for Heilbronn is mounted. In 2004 he left the 22 m high blade of grass with a lot of energy at the motorway junction built in Ede, a galvanized steel structure, illuminated by fluorescent lamps.
