Jan van Schijndel

Jan van Schijndel (* March 4, 1927, † 28 February 2011) was a Dutch football player.

Career

Van Schijndel played his entire active career, from 1945 to 1960, when Voetbal Vereniging Schiedamse, in recent years, however, in the amateur team. With the SIA of the outrunner 1949 Dutch champion, and then won the Supercup.

In the championship of the SIA van Schijndel was first appointed to the national team. His debut in Oranje he gave on March 13, 1949 midfield alongside Ajax player Joop Stoffelen and behind the gouden within trio, the golden trio in the storm of Dutch: Abe Lenstra, Faas Wilkes and Kees Rijvers; the game at the Olympic Stadium Amsterdam against Belgium ended 3-3.
