Jan Walenty Tomaka

Jan Walenty Tomaka ( born January 15, 1949 in Nowa Wies ) is a Polish politician, Platforma Obywatelska ( Civic Platform ).

Tomaka attended high school in Rzeszow. Subsequently, he studied at the Academy of Mining and Metallurgy Krakow, where he graduated in 1971. 1971-1982 January Tomaka worked in the Office of the Province Province Rzeszów. He was also from 1972 to 1982 in a water companies ( Przedsiębiorstwo Hydrogeologiczne ) in Krakow. 1982-1990 he worked as a senior executive of a planning office for melioration in Rzeszów. As a council and community leaders ( wójt ) the rural community Trzebownisko Tomaka was active from 1990 to 1998. 1993 to 1994 he was still deputy voivode of the Voivodship Subcarpathian. In 1997 he was for the Stronnictwo Konserwatywno - Ludowe ( Conservative) Head of Province Association. In 2001 he joined in the same position to the newly formed Platforma Obywatelska. In the years 1999 to 2000 he was Vice Marshal of the Subcarpathian Voivodship. In the parliamentary elections in Poland in 2001 January Tomaka could win a mandate for the Sejm for the first time. Also during the 2007 elections 2005 and the early elections he managed to move into the Parliament. On April 2, 2011, he resigned his seat.

January Tomaka is married and has four children.
