Jana Jacková

Jana Jacková, (born 6 August 1982 Frýdek- Místek ) is a Czech chess champion.

Career

Jacková received in 2001 the title of chess grandmaster of women ( WGM ), 2004 the title of International Master (IM).

Jacková conquered or occupied top positions in several tournaments: 1st place in the U12 Championship in the Czech Republic (Girl) (1993 ), 1st place in the U14 Championship in the Czech Republic (Girl) (1995) and 2nd place in the tournament Stork Young Masters (2001). She won the silver medal at the U10 European Championship (girls) in Rimavská Sobota in 1992 and again the silver medal at the U20 World Cup (girls) in Yerevan (1999).

For the Czech Republic, she played six times in Chess Olympiads: 1998-2008, where she has reached 39.5 points from 63 games. Jacková once won the Czech championships on the women, once she was second, even third.

With their best Elo rating of 2423 in May 2007 Jacková took the 41st place of the FIDE world ranking of women and first place in the Czech woman rankings. She finished her professional chess career in December 2009.
