Jandía

Jandia called on the members of Spain's Canary island of Fuerteventura Jandia peninsula in the south of the location as well which is on this mountain massif, which at 807 meters the highest peak Pico de la Zarza (also: Pico de Jandia ) is the highest mountain of Fuerteventura. There is also a headland of Punta de Jandia Jandia Playa and the tourist resort which forms the center of the southern island of Morro Jable. The Jandia peninsula belongs administratively to the municipality of Pajara.

In the north of the Istmo de la Pared forms with only five kilometers wide, the narrowest part of Fuerteventura. Are the most beautiful sandy beaches on the island, which are often used by surfers to its west coast.

Is the small fishing village cofete, near which the Villa Winter is settled, which was built by the German businessman Gustav Winter on the south west coast of the peninsula.
